Housed within CCMC is Doctors Medical Center, a large Rural Health Clinic (RHC), providing primary and preventive health services. The clinic has physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses and other key staff. These providers specialize in primary care, family medicine, geriatric medicine and women’s health. They also coordinate care with the Hospital, outpatient clinics, and specialists in the region.

Home Visits Program

Medical providers based in Doctors Medical Center at Comanche County Medical Center make home visits to homebound patients. Home visits are made in the patient’s residence and medical services are provided by a physician or nurse practitioner. CCMC providers also see patients in area nursing homes.

Homebound patients generally cannot leave their home due to a serious injury or illness that makes it difficult to move without the aid of a wheelchair or walker. They usually require skilled care to improve, maintain, prevent, or further slow their health condition. To qualify for medical home visits, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid (CMS) have criteria for “homebound.” Other health plans may cover home visits and have their own criteria. Consult your plan information for coverage details.
